Description

This is a very elegant fine china salad or dessert plate has a gentle scalloped edging with gold trim. There is a backstamp on the bottom that shows a crown, Marie Luise, Seltmann, Weiden Germany. Weiden is in the Bavarian part of Germany. A couple of the salad plates have the crown, Marie Luise, Seltmann, Weiden & Bavaria as a backstamp.

We are selling these plates individually. We do combine shipping if you are ordering more than one plate.

There is a simple elegance to this piece and is a fine example of the china that the Seltmann company produced.

Measurement

The plate measures approximately 7 1/2 inches in diameter.

Condition

These beautiful plates are in excellent vintage condition. There is minimal wear on the bottom. There is very little wear on the delicate gold trim. There are no chips, cracks or crazing.

Shown is a Royal Copenhagen oval dish. It made of white porcelain and is hand painted with a sprig of oregano. Around the edge of the dish there is also hand painted florals and design. The outer edge of the dish is slightly serrated and edged in gold paint. There is one handle which is also porcelain and made to look like a rounded trig. There are two applied porcelain flowers on the right side of the handle. The dish is on a black background.
