Description
When we found this beautiful bird, we couldn't wait to find it a new home! This stunning and colorful Cockatoo was produced by Stangl Pottery probably somewhere from 1940 into the 1950's.
There are greens, blues, reds and yellows all combined wonderfully on this finely crafted piece of pottery.
The backstamp is on the bottom and states Stangl Pottery Birds inside a small oval. Under the hole in the base, the initials DCF and the number 3580.
Measurements
This cockatoo stands approximately 9 inches tall. The base is approximately 3 1/2 inches by 3 1/2 inches.
Condition
This pottery bird is in excellent condition. There are no chips, cracks or crazing that we can find. There is wear on the bottom consistent with the age of this piece and doesn't distract from the overall excellent condition.
