Description
We are offering this nice vintage Mid Century covered pottery piece. It was made by Northington Pottery, which was located in California in the 1950's. This piece is pale yellow in color and has a gold tone metal lid. The bottom is embossed with Northington USA.
We aren't sure what this piece would have been used for, we think that maybe it was the centerpiece of a lazy susan set. It would make a great candy dish or a place to keep your jewelry pieces.
Measurements
The bowl has a rim and measures approximately 5 3/4 inches in diameter. It stands almost 3 inches tall (without the lid on) and the base is about 5 inches in diameter. The lid is about 5 1/2 inches in diameter.
Condition
The metal lid has scratches and wear on the top. The underside of the lid is discolored from use and age. The bowl is in very good condition, some wear on the bottom, but no chips, cracks or crazing.
