Description
We believe that this is from Metlox Pottery, Vernonware in the Butterscotch pattern. We were told that this was made by Metlox and is their Butterscotch pattern, though we are not 100% positive that this is that pattern as there is no mark on the base. Nor after some heavy duty research were we able to find any kind of teapot like this one.
The lid has a square criss crossed pattern of two tones of brown, with some lighter swirl marks all the way around the pattern. The lid has an indent in to hold it on the top of the teapot.
Measurements
This teapot stands, without the lid, is about 7 1/2 inches tall. The base, which looks like it has an embossed 'C' or 'U' is approximately 3 1/2 inches wide as is the opening where the lid goes in. The lid is approximately 2 1/2 inches tall.
Condition
The teapot is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or crazing that we can find.
What a great piece to add to your collection!
