Description

Here's a great vintage movie camera for your collection or for your home décor. This is a vintage Revere movie camera, Model 88. It was produced in Chicago on the near South Side in the 1940's. What you will be receiving is the Revere Model 88, which still has what appears to be the original rubber lens cap, The instructions and the original box.

There are two black spools inside the camera. The empty one is marked Cine-Kodak 8 Spool, PAT in USA 1941 522. The second one is unmarked and has a spool of film on it! It doesn't look like the film was ever used.

Measurements

Camera - approximately 5 inches long by 4 1/2 inches by 2 inches

Paper Instruction Booklet - approximately 5 3/4 inches by 4 1/4 inches

Original Box - approximately 6 inches by 4 1/4 inches by 2 3/4 inches

Condition

Camera - In very good vintage condition for it's age. The winding key is tight. The rubber lens cap is hardened from age, but isn't brittle yet, though should be handled carefully. There is some faint writing on the back of the camera, it's faded and hard to read. Also someone drew two arrows on the inside where the film goes to remind them how to put the film spool in. We don't know if it still works or not.

The wrist strap appears to be in very good condition.

The paper instruction booklet has creases and a couple of corners are dog-eared. The metal staples are rusted and some of the pages have partially come loose.

The original box is in good condition with definite signs of wear around the edges. The bottom of the box also shows signs of wear and some scuff marks.

Please see the photos for more detail.
