Description

This beautiful bowl from Southern Potteries has us a bit confused. Based on the Colonial design of the bowl and the handpainted pattern, this looks like the Crab Apple pattern that we've seen photos of. However, based on the number, 3770, on the back above the backstamp, this pattern is called Cherry Bounce.

Measurements

This is a 9 inch in diameter vegetable bowl that is handpainted. The base is approximately 4 1/2 inches in diameter.

Condition

There appears to be a couple of small round nicks in the glaze on the back. There are no chips, cracks or crazing that we can find. There are some very faint use marks inside the bowl, these can be seen under a light.

Note: It looks like there is discoloration inside the bowl in the 2nd photograph, the bowl is fine, it's just how the lighting was hitting it at the time.
