Description
A lot of times with vintage items, it's a 'best guess' guessing game. That's the case with this piece. We can tell from looking and holding the knife holder that it's vintage, but when exactly it was made and by who, we aren't really sure. Our best guess is that it is from the 1950's when a lot of items like this were produced.
This piece is made with wood that has been lightly varnished. On the round disc is a red rooster or chicken that has a yellow eye and has 14 small yellow hearts as decor on its body.
This piece can hold up to five knifes. It is meant to be hung on the wall and there is cut out in the back for that purpose.
Measurements
It is just under 8 inches in length. It is about 4 3/4 inches across at the widest point. It is almost 1 1/4 inches thick.
Condition
This piece is in gently used vintage condition. The only issue we could find is that there is some wood missing on the top, see the photos for a closer look.
