Description
Lefton China is know for their decorative fine china pieces. The company was started in 1941 in Chicago, Illinois by a Hungarian immigrant George Zoltan Lefton. This decorative pitcher, given the colors and design was probably made sometime in the 1960's - 1970's.
This pitcher is handpainted with a brightly colored yellow and orange flowers and green leaves on the front. On the back there are three thin green leaves and there is also a green stripe on the handle.
On the bottom is a crimson or red label with gold trim that states Lefton, Trademark Exclusives, Japan. There is a a stamped number - 5917.
Measurement
This decorative pitcher stands approximately 8 1/2 inches tall.
Condition
There are no chips, cracks or crazing that we can find. The label shows a little wear, but is in overall good condition. The inside is clean. There is minimal wear on the bottom.
