Fenton Art Glass company is known for making exquisite hand made glass. This beautiful commemorative plate is #7 from their American Craftsman Series and was produced in 1976. The plate is made of carnival glass and shimmers in the light. The Fenton logo is embossed on the back.
From the back of the plate: With this handmade plate, Fenton commemorates the early Colonial Gunsmiths, Philip Lafevre. He operated a gunsmithery at Beaver Valley in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania from about 1731 to 1766. No. 7 in the American Craftsman Series by Fenton. 1976.
The plate is just over 8 inches in diameter.
Condition: This plate is in excellent vintage condition. There are no chips or cracks. There is a very small piece of the original Fenton label on the front.
