Description

Compco Corporation was started in the mid 1940's in Chicago, Illinois and continued for the next couple of decades. This 8mm film reel and canister was probably made sometime in the 1950's-1960's. This reel and canister are matching in color and are a cool steel blue color. Both are made of metal and the film reel can hold up to 400 feet of 8mm film.

The canister isn't marked the film reel however has Compco Corp. Chicago, U.S.A.. 8mm, 400ft.

These would look great as part of your home media room décor, hang up the reel(s) in a collage and use the canister(s) for storing things. Or line the canister with some pretty fabric and use it as a gift box for someone who likes unique retro things.

Measurement

The film reel is approximately 7 inches in diameter and fits nicely inside the canister.

Condition

Each canister has some tape residue on the front. There are some minor wear and scratches on the canister due to the way it was previously use. The film reels are in great condition. There are no dents or dings that we can find.
