Description
Here's a wonderful sewing pattern from the early 1930's from the Advance Patterns company. This is Advance Patterns 1420 and with this sewing pattern you will be able to create a 1930's style dress or what they called a 'frock'.
According to the the front of the envelope, this was designed for the beginner. The skirt is in two pieces and is topped by a simple bodice finished with cuff-trimmed sleeves, a double collar (which is optional) and a tailored band.
Size
This pattern is for a size 20, bust size 38 woman. The hip size is 41 inches, with the hip measured 7 inches below the normal waistline.
Condition
The paper envelope has wear and some fading around the edges and front (the front is a different color than the back), if there was a flap, it is missing now. The envelope is in overall good vintage condition. The tissue paper sewing pattern is precut and gently used. All the pieces are numbered and accounted for. There is a one page, double sided dressmaking guide and it is still readable and in great condition.
