Description
Metlox pottery was located in California and produced beautiful dinnerware pieces for the home. This utility or water pitcher was produced between 1950-1983. It is called Provincial Blue pattern on Poppytrail. The pattern features old time farm scenes this one being a farmer plowing the field with his pair of horses. There are hay bundles and a house in the background. Metlox's use of the various shades of blue are simply beautiful.
Measurements
The pitcher stands approximately 6 3/4 inches tall. The base is 4 1/2 inches in diameter. There is no back stamp on this pitcher, however, we are pretty sure it was produced by Metlox as it was with other Metlox pieces that we recently acquired.
Condition
This pitcher is in excellent vintage condition, no chips, cracks or crazing that we can find.
