Description

This is a lovely basket that was produced in Japan by the Seymour Mann company. The pattern is called Blue Onion and the design line is called Vienna Woods. This small handled basket has a beautiful blue floral pattern on a white background.

The original gold and black oval label is still attached on the bottom.

Measurements

From spout to spout it measures approximately 7 1/4 inches long. It is approximately 2 1/2 inches wide. With the handle it stand about 5 inches tall. The base is approximately 2 1/2 inches by 2 inches.

Condition

The basket is in excellent vintage condition, there are no chips, cracks or crazing. The paper foil label is partially loose and slightly worn, though still readable.

Shown is a Royal Copenhagen oval dish. It made of white porcelain and is hand painted with a sprig of oregano. Around the edge of the dish there is also hand painted florals and design. The outer edge of the dish is slightly serrated and edged in gold paint. There is one handle which is also porcelain and made to look like a rounded trig. There are two applied porcelain flowers on the right side of the handle. The dish is on a black background.
