Shown is a vintage pitcher that was handpainted and made in Japan. It is a creamy white color with beautiful blue decoration around the edge of the opening, in the middle of the side and on the handle.

Description

We are offering this beautiful, unique mid-century creamer, well we are calling it a creamer, but it could pour your maple syrup or hollandaise sauce or even your homemade gravy. It has a great shape and is hand painted and transferware with an Asian theme of florals.

It is marked on the bottom with Hand Painted, a circular wreath with an elephant's head inside and Made In Japan under that. Please see the photos for more detail.

Measurements

It is almost 4 1/2 inches tall at the highest point. It is 3 1/2 inches by almost 3 inches on the bottom.

Condition

There are some scuff marks on the bottom of the piece from use. There is also some crazing in different spots, particularly by the spout area. We are unable to find any cracks or chips. There are wear marks on the bottom of the pitcher from previous use.

Shown is a Royal Copenhagen oval dish. It made of white porcelain and is hand painted with a sprig of oregano. Around the edge of the dish there is also hand painted florals and design. The outer edge of the dish is slightly serrated and edged in gold paint. There is one handle which is also porcelain and made to look like a rounded trig. There are two applied porcelain flowers on the right side of the handle. The dish is on a black background.
