Dawn & I want to welcome you to our blog and new website for our shop Too Hip Chicks.
We have been selling on Etsy for over 5 years now and decided it was time to expand and create our own website. Let me tell you, it's been a learning curve getting it ready! So many things to do, many that I hadn't even thought about before starting this project.
Too Hip Chicks came about because we love to go to garage, yard and estate sales and thrift shops. We found that we were finding a lot of cool stuff and bringing it home, but then realized that we needed to share our finds and thus Too Hip Chicks began.
The name comes from the fact that we are two hip chicks of course. :-) Then came trying to decide what our 'logo' was going to be. I came across the photo of my grandmother and her cousin (c. 1920's) and thought how better to honor her!
My grandmother died many years ago and I would have loved to ask her about this photo and what they were doing when it was taken. I'm sure my grandmother was a hip chick back then.
