Description

We love finding these vintage pieces! This is a large size Interpace Franciscan Discovery platter in the Topaz pattern. It is a beautiful light coffee color on the exterior and the interior is glossy white. 

We took a close up of the mark on the back of the platter and as you can see, it's a bit blurry when the company stamped it.

This pattern is dated to 1965 from our research.

Measurements

The platter measures approximately 13 inches long by 8 1/4 inches wide and 1 1/4 inches high.

Condition

The white edging on the base appears to be unglazed. There is some minor scratching on the inside of the platter, however there are no cracks, chips or crazing that we can find.

Shown is a Royal Copenhagen oval dish. It made of white porcelain and is hand painted with a sprig of oregano. Around the edge of the dish there is also hand painted florals and design. The outer edge of the dish is slightly serrated and edged in gold paint. There is one handle which is also porcelain and made to look like a rounded trig. There are two applied porcelain flowers on the right side of the handle. The dish is on a black background.
