Description

This is a Royal Copenhagen oval dish from their Flora Danica line. This oval dish features Oregano - Origanum vulgare L.

We know it's from 1965 because the 'E' in Copenhagen is underscored (on the backstamp).

Royal Copenhagen has been making this line of fine china since the 18th century. Each piece is produced to order, with no two pieces exactly alike since each is hand painted by artists. When this line was first produced, artists used copperplate illustrations for the floral designs.

This wonderfully stunning dish has an applied handle made to look like a gently bent twig. On one side of the handle are applied raised flowers and leaves. The edges are slightly serrated and trimmed in gold paint.

Measurements

The oval dish measures approximately 8 inches in length (not including the handle). It is approximately 6 3/4 inches wide at the widest point. The base is about 5 1/2 inches in length by 4 1/2 inches in width.

Condition

There is minimal wear on the bottom. This is pristine condition with no chips, cracks or crazing that we can find.

Please note that this will be shipped to you fully insured for the purchase price.
