Add some whimsy to your holiday Christmas decorations with this adorable vintage milk glass snowman. This was made sometime during and after World War 1 when Japan stepped in to fill a void created by the war in Europe. These whimsical figural light bulbs were often painted by children according to our research, which is why you will often see a less than perfect application of the paint.
This snowman is holding a stick in his right mittened hand. On the screw cap, we used a jewelers loop and could make out 15v Japan under the paint.
Measurement
The milk glass snowman is almost 3 inches tall.
Condition
We tested this lightbulb with a 9 volt battery and it does still light.
Most of the paint has worn away. There are some faint green spots on the back right side on his head and arm.
There are no chips or cracks that we could find.
