This is a frame print that features a Victorian? style child, that states 'Study Is Nourishment For The Mind, Children should study so as not to be ignorant all their lives.' On the back is a small rectangular paper label that says Marian Putney Giftloft. From our research we believe that Marian Putney was an artist from Kalamazoo, Michigan and that she and her son had a shop called the Giftloft from 1960-1971 in the same area.
This framed print has been professionally framed in a wood frame with gold paint and black velvet trim on the front.
Measurement: The framed is approximately 8 inches by 6 inches.
Condition: It is in overall very good vintage condition. Some minor wear on the black velvet. There is a hole that has been drilled on the top of the frame, there was probably a decorative hanger at one time there. There is a metal hanger on the back. There is some writing in pencil on the back brown paper covering.
