Clinchfield Artware/Cash Family pottery was founded in 1945 by Ray and Pauline Cash. This lovely sculpted fruit water pitcher was made by them probably sometime between the 1950's - 1960's. This piece was also handpainted, and from the examples we found online, there probably isn't two that are exactly alike!
Measurements: This pitcher stands approximately 7 3/4 inches tall. The base is approximately 4 inches by 3 3/4 inches. On the bottom is the backstamp and it states: Clinchfield Artware, Handpainted, Erwin, TENN.
Condition: There are a few spots on the fruit where the paint and glaze didn't take or it was painted to look that way, it's most noticeable on the red fruit. We've taken a couple of close up photos so you can see it. There are no chips, cracks or crazing that we can find.
This pitcher is very clean and would make a great pitcher for serving ice cold lemonade or as a statement piece with a lovely bouquet of flowers.
