This is a beautiful covered sugar that was created by Royal Bayreuth in Bavaria. It has an applied delicate pink and blue floral around the bowl and on the top of the lid. It also has gold applied to the handles, the lid and thin gold bands around the bowl and lid.
There is a green backstamp on the underside of the base. The word Chicago is in red under the backstamp.
It is unknown when exactly this piece was made.
It is approximately 4 1/2 inches tall with the lid on.
The base of the bowl is almost 4 1/2 inches in diameter.
The opening of the bowl is approximately 2 3/4 in diameter.
There is wear on the gold of the handles and around the edges of the base. The opening of the bowl isn't perfectly round so the lid doesn't sit quite perfectly on it. There are no chips, cracks or crazing and is in very good vintage condition.
