This piece caught our eye due to its simple beauty. It was created by George Turner & Sons from Tunstall England. From what we can determine, this piece was made from 1873-1895.
The florals are very delicate in nature and there is one even on the base/underneath the bowl. The bowl is marked G.W.T.&S. on the bottom, which stands for George W. Turner and Sons. It also as the pattern name of Aesthetic on the base. Turner & Sons was based in Tunstall, England.
It's amazing that this bowl survived all these years. Whether you collect G.W. Turner & Sons dishes/pottery, English pottery or would just love to have this as a unique decorating item, we believe you will be very pleased with it.
The bowl measures approximately 4 3/4 inches in diameter. It stands almost 2 inches tall.
Amazingly, there aren't any chips or cracks that we can find. There is some minor crazing on the bottom. There appears to be a smudge mark on one of the florals that possibly occurred when the piece was created.
