Description

This is a c. 1910's postcard called "We're mortgaged to each other". It features a lovely couple who are holding hands and kissing. The postcard has a divided back, which means it was made after 1907. The postcard has a postmark from Tuscumbia, Alabama and has a date stamp from sometime in the 1910's as the last number of the year is blurred. There is a 1 cent US postage stamp on the upper right hand corner.

The sender was someone named Sallie May and she sent it to Miss Lillie Marrie (? hard to read the last name) in Collierville, Tennessee.

The postcard was made in the USA.

Measurements

The postcard is 5 1/2 inches by 3 1/2 inches.

Condition

There is some wear around the edges. There is visible creasing on the lower right hand side and can be seen in the photos. There is discoloration and some foxing on the front.

The back is yellowed from age. And there is writing on the back.

The line in just under the words isn't as noticeable on the postcard itself as it is in the photo.
