Own your own Kay Denning designed shoe clips made with her signature abstract glass technique.
These shoe clips are enameled over copper and each earring has a melted glass/enameled 'stone' setting which on this pair appear to be iridescent and in the shape of an abstract acorn. Her artistry shows through on every piece she created and while created decades ago, these are timeless.
We tend to believe it based on the alligator style back that these were made for the top of a woman's shoe. There is no spring in the clip and therefore it wouldn't stay in place on a scarf. The clip opens just far enough to accommodate the top part of a woman's dress shoe.
While these are not signed, we believe that they were created by Kay Denning based on other pieces of jewelry we obtained at the same time. These were made by Kay Denning between the 1960's-1980.
Measurements
Each shoe clip measure approximately 1 1/4 inch in length by 1 1/4 inch in width, at the widest point.
Condition
The glue on the back is starting to yellow from age and being previously worn, but overall, the shoe clips are in very good vintage condition and would make a great addition to your Kay Denning jewelry collection or repurpose them and create something new from them.
