Description
1940's cottage charm is the feeling of this Edwin M. Knowles lidded sugar bow. We aren't sure of the pattern name, however it depicts a beautiful floral arrangement of pink roses and small blue flowers with an accent of small green leaves and is on both sides of the sugar bowl and some light blue and pink cottage roses on the top of the lid. The scroll shaped handles and the top have gold trim on them.
The bottom of the sugar bowl is marked Semi Vitreous, Edwin M. Knowles China Co., Made In U.S.A. 41-6.
We recommend hand washing only for this beautiful sugar bowl.
Measurements
From handle to handle this piece measures about 6 1/2 inches and stands approximately 3 3/4 inches.
Condition
This lidded sugar bowl is in very good condition. There is one little line of crazing on the top of the lid, there is also some crazing on one of the handles. There is a chip out of the base rim and some wear on the base, otherwise there are no other cracks or chips that we can find.
