Description

Here is a really cool 1950's piece made by the Salem China Company. We've only been able to find a couple of examples of this pattern online. We believe that it was created by artist Viktor Schreckengost and that it is their Harvest pattern or Sepia Fruit on the Free Form shape. This piece has a real rustic and 1950's feel to it. The art is of fruit done in a muted brown color. The shape of the bowl, and we are guessing that this is a gravy bowl, has a more modern, 'atomic' feel and shape.

There are smaller fruit art on either side of the bowl and a larger one on the inside. This is a three footed bow and it does have a pour spout on one side. The color is an off white and has faint speckling inside & out.

Measurements

This piece measures approximately: 6 1/2 inches from spout to the other side and about 5 1/4 inches across. It is about 2 1/2 inches deep and at it's tallest is just over 3 inches.

Condition

There is a minor 'flea bite' on this piece, other than that we are unable to find any other cracks, chips or crazing. Please see the photos for more details.
