Description

Fenton Art Glass company is known for making exquisite hand made glass. This beautiful commemorative plate is #5 from their American Craftsman Series and was produced in 1974. The plate is made of carnival glass and shimmers in the light. The Fenton logo is embossed on the back and there is a paper label affixed on the front.

From the back of the plate: With this handmade plate, Fenton commemorates a famous cooper in Early America. John Alden, who arrived on the Mayflower in 1620, handcrafted casks, barrels, and tubs for settlers in the Plymouth, Mass. colony. No. 5 in the annual series of collector's plates by Fenton. 1972.

The plate is just over 8 inches in diameter.

Condition

This plate is in excellent vintage condition. There are no chips or cracks. The original paper label is affixed on the front and is in very good vintage condition.
